Cinnamon Bair

2. Today, at the University of Florida. A Florida native, she spent four years at Troy University studying journalism and English, working on the Tropolitan and trying not to drown in the red ink that drenched her writing assignments for assistant journalism professor Gordon “Mac” McKerral. After her graduation in 1993, she served as a newspaper reporter for nine years with the New York Times Regional Newspaper Group before realizing she’d like a personal life and switching to public relations. Although Cinnamon switched to the “dark side” four years ago, she continues to cling to her journalism roots by writing a weekly newspaper history column and serving as a freelance editor and writer.
